The X2 Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel is located not far from the On Nut BTS station. Tucked down Soi 52, behind the superstore Tesco Lotus, this hotel offers a residential, local experience when exploring Bangkok.
We spent a week in X2 Vibe Bangkok; a few days in their Double standard room and a few days in their upgraded Superior rooms. There are many pros to staying at the X2 Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel, so let’s jump into this hotel review.
The Location
X2 vibe bangkok sukhumvit address: 10, 20 Sukhumvit 52 Alley, Phra Khanong, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10260
Address in Thai: X2 Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel โรงแรมครอสทูไวบ์กรุงเทพสุขุมวิท
Nearest BTS: On Nut BTS Station; approx, 6 minute walk away.
Location pros:
The location is perfect for those looking to experience local life in Bangkok. You can visit the nearby restaurants and street vendors as well as the large shopping malls nearby. Your proximity to the BTS also helps you get around the city, avoiding traffic to and from the city centre.
Good nightlife options near X2 Vibe Bangkok include Cheap Charlies Bar, Corner 79 outdoor night market and bar and W District (an outdoor market nearer Phra Khanong BTS).
Location cons:
For those visiting Bangkok for the first time or for those with a limited few days in the city, this is perhaps not the hotel for you. It is far from the major attractions such as the Grand Palace and leaning Buddha, and its nightlife scene doesn’t compete with Khao San Road, Chinatown or Soi Cowboy.

The room
The most important part to any stay, is the rooms. X2 Vibe rooms have a modern, chic but comfortable feel to them. Beds are comfortable and soft and you have plenty of pillows (not always the case in Bangkok). Standard rooms come with a desk area to work at, a powerful rain shower and plenty of bathroom amenities.
One, two and three bedroom rooms are also available, ideal for families or groups of friends visiting the city together.
In both rooms we stayed in, we found the rooms to be well looked after and clean. We had a slight issue with our safe on checking into the Superior Room, but the staff fixed this immediately.
For the price these rooms are listed at, the standard is high and you can expect a comfortable stay.
The Facilities
There are a range of facilities available at the X2 Vibe Bangkok Hotel.
4K Cafe and 4K Bar
This cafe is a great place to have some breakfast before a busy day of exploring. Open from 6am to 11pm each day, you can try some local dishes as well as international options too. The Larb Thod and X2 Asian Wrap were tasty options but don’t expect too much from the international dishes; we recommend sticking to the Thai food here; it’s tastier and better value.
Typical food prices:
- Larb Thod – 250B
- Asian Wrap – 150B
- Caesar Salad with Prawns – 190B
- Carbonara – 190B
- Grilled Salmon – 490B
- Mango Sticky Rice – 120B
The 4K Bar is a great place to relax by the pool, especially after a busy day in the big Mango. There are drinks here for all ages and they also run a decent happy hour(s).
The gym
X2 Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit gym: There is a gym available at this hotel, with 24-hour access for all guests. This is great for those wanting to get an early workout and we generally found the gym was fairly quiet during our stay.
The Pool
The pool is not too big but it is open from 6 am to 9 pm, making it the ideal way to end an afternoon in Bangkok. The pool is also a sea-salt pool; a nice touch for a Bangkok hotel.
The Spa
Unusually, the hotel also has an Onsen. This is inspired by traditional Japanese spas, giving you a hot relaxing soak and a place to unwind.
X2 Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit spa: From 9 am to 9 pm, you can book a massage with the hotel therapists at the Yan Spa.
Typical Spa service prices:
- Foot massage (60m) – 700B
- Thai Massage (60m) – 700B
- Balinese Massage (60m) – 1200B
- Deep Tissue Massage (60m) – 1200B
- Hot Stone (90m) – 1900B
- Facials starting at 1500B
- Body Treatments start at 1200B
Transport
Shuttle service – Even though the BTS is under a 10 minute walk away, you may not always feel like walking the distance in the Bangkok head. The hotel runs a shuttle bus service every 30 minutes, from 10am to 8pm between the hotel and On Nut BTS Station.
Is it for you?
If you are looking for an affordable but comfortable hotel in Bangkok then this is a great option. If you are looking for a more local experience, with nearby restaurants that offer all types of cuisines and a handful of bars and street vendors, then this is also for you. If you are heading to Bangkok for shopping, or intend to spend a few days outside of the city, then this hotel is also a great choice because traffic is a little less this way and you are on the Sukhumvit BTS line, giving you fast access to the malls.
However, if you only have a few days in Bangkok and want to experience the major temples and vibrant nightlife of Khao San Road, this hotel is not for you. Head to one of the guesthouses around Bangkok Old Town.
